This policy explains what personal data Solar Clean Services collects when you use this website, why, and what your rights are. It's written in plain English rather than legal boilerplate. If anything is unclear, email quotes@solarcleanservices.co.uk and ask.
Who we are
Solar Clean Services is the trading name of Solar Clean Services Ltd, a solar panel cleaning company registered in Wales under company number 17063358, with its registered office at 10 Cwrt Bevan, Merthyr Tydfil, CF47 0AQ. For the purposes of UK GDPR, Solar Clean Services Ltd is the data controller for any personal data collected through this site.

What we collect, and why
When you submit the quote form on the Contact page, we collect your name, phone number, postcode or town, property type, panel count and any message you add. This is used only to work out whether we cover your area, put together a quote, and get back to you about it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries you've chosen to send us.
Quote enquiries are sent by email to Martyn's inbox using Cloudflare's email sending service, which handles the delivery but does not read or use the contents. We don't add you to a mailing list, share your details with anyone else, or use them for marketing.
If you accept analytics cookies (see our Cookie Policy for the full detail), Google Analytics collects anonymised information about how you use the site: which pages you visit, roughly how long for, and what device or browser you're using. It does not collect your name, email address or anything from the quote form. This only happens if you say yes in the cookie banner. It's off by default.
Cloudflare Turnstile, which protects the quote form from spam, processes some technical information about your browser and connection (like your IP address) to work out whether you're a real visitor. This runs regardless of your cookie choice, because it's necessary to stop the form being abused. Cloudflare's own privacy policy covers exactly what it does with that information.
How long we keep it
Quote enquiries are kept for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you go ahead, to carry out the work: normally no more than 24 months after your last contact with us, unless we're legally required to keep records for longer (for example, for tax purposes).
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it while a query about it is being sorted out, or object to how we're using it. To do any of these, email quotes@solarcleanservices.co.uk. We'll respond within one month.
If you're not happy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK regulator for data protection.
Where your data is processed
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, and the quote form is protected and delivered by Cloudflare too. Cloudflare may process data outside the UK as part of its global infrastructure, under safeguards required by UK GDPR (such as standard contractual clauses). Google Analytics, if you accept it, works the same way.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date at the top will change too. Significant changes will be reflected here directly. There's no separate mailing list to notify, since we don't keep one.
